1. How do I get to Emerald Acres Retreat? Do I need to take a ferry?
Yes. Emerald Acres Retreat is located on beautiful Amherst Island and requires a ferry crossing from Millhaven, ON. The ferry ride is approximately 15 minutes and is the only way onto the island. Once on the island proceed to the stop sign at the four corners, turn right on Front Rd. and proceed west until you come to 13805 Front Rd.
2. How often does the ferry run, and do I need a reservation?
The Amherst Island ferry runs regularly throughout the day and does not require reservations. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis for both vehicles and walk-on passengers. We recommend arriving at least 15–20 minutes before your desired departure time, especially during peak seasons. Link to the ferry and its schedule
